Nauticalia's Ship's Wheel Nutcracker is made from solid brass and is mounted on a wooden base, making it an ingenious way to crack a nut, and also a guaranteed talking point. Simply place the nut into the vice and turn the ship's wheel until the shell cracks in a controlled manner without damaging the kernel (in contrast to plier-like tools). It stands approximately 7.5cm / 3 inches high, and makes an attractive, nautical themed ornament when not in use.
